Last day of school

It's Cora's last day as a first grader. I just know she's gonna get off the bus crying. When I dropped her off at the bus stop this morning, she said that she'll probably be crying when she got off this afternoon. I told her that was perfectly ok.

Sooner or later this next week I've got to go and get my driver's license renewed. I don't think I've ever had a license renewed. I've either lost it in a river, gotten married, gotten divorced, gotten married again. Soooo...this will be the first time I've had a license for 6 years in a row! Whoopee!! :)

Anyway...short post today. Gotta get busy.

Lata!

Mmmmm...Bug Dope...

Yup. I smell like bug dope. I was at the bow club today and sprayed "Off!" on myself and Sarah. I was supposed to take her to shoot the course today, but it didn't happen. The moron who was supposed to relieve me at registration never showed up. I will not type what names I called him. Let's just say that it's not for ladies' eyes. :)

It's been a BUSY day. Cora's school had their Field Day today, so worked the morning shift in the Cupcake Walk. It was a lot of fun. Sarah and I ate lunch with Cora before we had to jet to the bow club for registration. After registration, I had to jet to Fenton for a production meeting of the Fenton Village Players. I'm their staff photographer this year, and they're beginning production of Once Upon A Mattress. My Brother-in-law is the Producer, and he's got his poop together. I like that. Now all I have to do is figure out when I can do cast headshots. He wants them done by the end of June. Shouldn't be a problem. My evenings are pretty free; it's my days that are slammed. Such is life in summer. Now I'm sitting at home waiting on my tea to get done boiling. Got my living room clean of clothes that have been on the floor since Friday waiting to be put away. Apparently I'm the only one capable of such a feat. The clothes fairy is slacking. Sigh...

Cora's done with school on Thursday. I promised her we'd go eat at Red Robin that night. I've never been there before. Anyone know if it's good?

Father's Day's coming up. Not sure how I'm gonna feel that day. First Father's Day without my dad. I miss him more than I can even describe. When we got our new car last week, I briefly thought: "I should call him and tell him about it". Then reality set in and I realized he's not here. But I know he's watching. I can just feel it. It makes me smile to know that. Anyway...give your daddies a kiss on June 18. They deserve it.

What else? Not much else going on around the Spangler abode. Guess I'll get some prom photos edited for my sister-in-law before she sends the mob after me. If ya wanna see them go here.

Later, taters!

What a Weekend!!!

Our bow club had a State Shoot this weekend. Archers from all over the state came and shot. It was a total blast to watch this; it was the first outdoor shoot I'd seen. I was running the "kitchen". We had a grill out there on the field. We made a considerable amount of money. The fun part was watching the professional archers at work. There were quite a few REALLY good shooters. An amateur who is a member of our club broke the state record today. That was pretty exciting.

I am SOOOOO tired. We were on the go nonstop both Saturday and Sunday. Cora has a field trip to the farm tomorrow, but I talked her into going to see a movie with me instead. I guess we'll go see Over The Hedge, but I really want to see Cars. Unfortunately it doesn't come out until Friday. Bah.

Ok...I'm too tired to keep writing, and I have a couple homework assignments to finish tonight.

Here are a couple photos from the weekend.
