LOOONNNGGGG Weekend
Phew! Man this weekend was a long one! I volunteered to be the cook at the Benefit Shoot at the Bow Club Saturday. I got there around 9, and shot in the 10 AM line time. After that I ran the kitchen for the next two line times at 2 and 6. I left around 8 DEAD TIRED! I was in bed by 9. I got first place in my division, so I was excited, and I even beat the club President's score. He was razzed pretty hard for that! :) A good amount of money was raised and everyone had a great time.
This morning I taught Sunday School, then we went BACK to the bow club for the Winter League Banquet in which Andrew took first place. He was pretty happy about that. After the lunch Andrew and I had a bit of friendly competition as we shot 15 ends (rounds). When we were done, I ended up with a 373/450 (my personal best). Andrew got a 396/450. He was pretty worried that I was going to beat him for a while. Luckily he squeaked it out though! I'm getting there! Then he and I went outside so I could sight in my bow for further distances. That was a BLAST! I've never shot outside before, and unfortunately it was a bit cold. I had to wear my big coat and that threw off my anchor point a tad.
Anyway...enough archery geek talk. Cora's had the yuckies this weekend. She was feeling fine last night and this morning, but at the bow club she got a headache and her fever's back now. Poor kid. She might stay home from school tomorrow.
Ok...off I go to enjoy some couch time. I'm beat!
