Back from Vacation!

I had such a good time! We got up to Traverse City on Monday night. Tuesday we sat around and went shopping for a while. Wednesday we went up to Elk Rapids and walked around the town a bit. Really small, cute town right on the lake. Then we ate at Pearl's New Orleans Kitchen right outside of town. MAN that food was EXCELLENT! If you're ever up near there, I highly suggest you eat there. Wonderful cajun food.
That afternoon, Lara, Larry and Lara's boyfriend Max came up for the weekend. We hung out and went to the Bayview for pizza. Of course, I was still really full from the cajun food, so I didn't eat much.
Thursday we went to the casino for a few hours. It was the first time I had played anything except the slots, so I had a total blast. Max showed me how to play roulette, and after that we played blackjack for a while. I loved that. Luckily I didn't lose much, but had SO much fun. That night we went to The Big Easy, which is a blues bar. They had a lot of cajun food as well, and I had fish. I ate so much! After getting back to the room we had Euchre night, and stayed up until around 2 AM. Haven't laughed so hard in a while!

Friday was lay around day. Not much happened except I read a lot and laid around on the couch. Linda and I got packed up to come home. I was missing Andrew and the girls really badly by then. I was ready to be home. We went to eat at Auntie Pasta's, and then Linda and I left from there. We got home around 11 PM. Phew. I'm glad to be home.

Lots of eating, lots of sitting around and relaxing.
