Dude, where's my vacation???

So, I need a vacation in a BAD way. Easter Break is next week, but I'm talking about a vacation by MYSELF!!! KIDLESS! HUSBANDLESS! Luckily, I get to have one. I'm going up to Traverse City, MI at the beginning of May. Not totally by myself, but with my MIL and SIL. It'll be a nice break! We're gonna have fun. I just need a few days without the kids yappin' in my ear. Countin' the days!

It was a glorious day today. Sunny and warm! A bit wet, but otherwise, gorgeous. Went to the bow club for a bit of practice. While I was there, a grandfather and his grandsons come in and started shooting. It was blaringly obvious that none of them had the slightest inkling how to shoot properly. The grandfather seemed interested in my suggestions for better shooting, but once I started trying to give the boys pointers, they got the glassy-eyed,"you don't know how to shoot" look. I gave up. Whatever...if you like missing the target every time, you knock yourself out. Grrr...

Anyway...a couple layouts I got done today...

Fee Jardine's Cool Denim Baby Kit found at Scrapboxx. WAY awesome kit!!! Lots of WONDERFUL stuff to play with.

Andrea Victoria's Make A Wish found at Sweet Shoppe Designs. Beautiful, soft kit!

Excellent Joke!

It has long been contended that there are male jokes, there are female jokes and there are unisex jokes. Here is a joke I consider a true female joke. I offer it to you in the hopes that women will love it and men will pass it along to a woman who will love it.

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when an exceptionally tall, handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him. The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As all men will.)

Before she could offer her apologies for so rudely staring, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00......on one condition." (There are always conditions)

Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words." (Controlling, Huh?)

The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly and meaningfully said....

"Clean my house."

Vanilla Ice...

Need I say more????? :)

Woo hoo!!!

It was WARM today! I was WAY geeked! I went up the bow club and practiced shooting outside at longer distances. It's going to be HARD to get out to like 80 meters. Might not make it to that distance though. The league starts in a couple weeks, so I gotta get my stuff together. I had a good day though...my archery mojo was totally there!

For some reason (maybe it was the tylenol PMs I took last night) I just could NOT get out of bed this morning. That alarm went off at 7:15 AM and I was NOT gettin' up. Luckily Andrew got the girls up and off to school. It just wasn't gonna happen today. I slept until 10:30. It sure felt good to sleep though.

Sketch

Just a quick sketch for anyone who could use a jumpstart today.

What else? Sunday was pretty busy. Both girls sang at different services at church. I taught Sunday School, then went to 11 O Clock service. Then came home and got ready for the egg hunt at church. After the egg hunt we went to the bow club for a club meeting. It was the first one I had been to, and it was very...umm...entertaining. I thought there would be a fight a few times! :) Good times. Did some shooting.

It's supposed to be at least 60 degrees today. If it actually reaches it, I think I might faint. I'm SOOOO ready for warmer weather. Tomororow is supposed to be in the 70s. Swoon! Supposed to rain on Easter. Of course.

Welp, not much going on in Spangler Land today, so I'll close this out. Toodles! :0
