I'm Sick

It started last night. I'm stuffy, congested and just plain miserable. Not sure if the weather changes have done it or what. Monday was warmish but rainy. Yesterday was rainy and cold, today is supposed to be warmish and sunny. When I say warmish, I mean high 40s low 50s. That's warm to me at this point. I'm so desperate for spring to arrive that I'll take what I can get.

Well, it's official. We're moving to Texas. Andrew's been transferred to San Antonio and he'll be working with the same company. There's no set-in-stone timeframe, but ASAP is what we're going for. We've been working like mad to get our house in order to sell. It's amazing how much crap we've accumulated over the years. It's amazing how much of this crap is stuff we just don't use, and probably never will. Actually having to pack it and move it has changed our perspective on it, and we've gotten a LOT of stuff for a yard sale. Andrew has a TON of miscellaneous computer stuff that he's been holding on to for years. He's finally letting most of it go. My office has a FLOOR! Who woulda thunk it?? Heh...Now we just have to wait for yard sale season to begin! Whatever we don't sell, we'll donate to Goodwill. I'm sure THEY need 25 power supplies for computers...sigh...

The girls had different reactions to the news that we're moving. To Cora, it's the end of the world. How could she POSSIBLY make new friends???? Sarah, on the other hand, is pretty laid back about it. Neither one has ever had to move, so the experience is frightening for them. Andrew's a bit freaked out about it as well, as he's never lived anywhere but Michigan. But for me, however, it's no big deal. I've done this many times before. Sure, it's a hassle. Sure, it's a huge project. But it'll get done. I'm excited. I think that the others will like San Antonio once they get down there and settle in. It was 94 degrees there yesterday! THAT'S what I'm looking forward to! HEAT!!!

Before I go, here are a few layouts I did with Fresh Pages Co's April Kit.

I have moved many times in my life and recently 3 times in 1 year. I hope it was the last. Too old, but I remember going to 3 different 3rd grades and learning to make friends very quickly. Good Luck

Oh, best of luck to you with the move! I don't want to do that again for a very long time!

Moving is difficult but I am sure everything will work out for the kiddos....

Congrats on the move. I've heard San Antonio is a great town and hope you will like it! I hate moving, but the decluttering aspect of it is always a good thing!

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe this is an omen and you shouldn't go to SATX. Moving and packing can just madness.

Good luck with the madness and yard sales.

Good luck getting everything together for a yard sale and moving. We are moving across the country later this year (from VA to CA). I am not looking forward to it at all. It's adventure I keep telling myself. lol

Wow! That's a big move! Good luck - I know how hard it is to move away from family. I'm in OK and my entire family lives in MI. I hope you start feeling better soon!

Oh that is big news! Congratulations to Andrew - it must be a great opportunity to move across country.

So, have you researched archery in San Antonio???? :)
